PACK2EARTH wins the award at the Expo AgriTech Startup Forum 2025

In October 2025, Pack2Earth participated in Expo AgriTech in Málaga, one of Europe’s leading innovation and technology events for the agricultural sector. The event brings together farmers, agri-businesses, researchers, and agritech companies working to improve productivity, sustainability, and competitiveness across the agri-food value chain.

For Pack2Earth, Expo AgriTech represented an important step in expanding our presence in the agricultural sector, highlighting the potential of our biodegradable and home compostable materials as an alternative to conventional plastics used in agriculture.

Pack2Earth Wins 1st Prize at the AgriTech Startup Forum

During the event, Pack2Earth was awarded 1st Prize at the Expo AgriTech Startup Forum 2025 granted by Nebext, selected from more than 60 startups presenting innovative solutions for the agri-food sector.

The award recognizes Pack2Earth’s development of bio-based, biodegradable & home compostable materials designed to perform under real agricultural conditions, while decomposing at ambient temperature and leaving no toxic residues or microplastics in the soil.

This recognition reinforces Pack2Earth’s mission to reduce reliance on fossil-based plastics and support more sustainable and resilient agricultural systems.

The Role of Home Compostable Materials in Sustainable Agriculture

Agriculture remains one of the sectors most dependent on fossil-based plastics, including mulch films, seedling trays, plant clips, and other short-life agricultural consumables.

Many of these materials are difficult to recover after use and can persist in the environment for decades, fragmenting into microplastics that negatively affect soil health, biodiversity, and long-term productivity.

Pack2Earth’s biodegradable & home compostable materials offer a sustainable alternative for agricultural applications, as they:
